In Cuttack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi voiced allegations on Sunday, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi governs on behalf of billionaires in Delhi, while Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik oversees an administration that prioritizes the interests of select individuals in Odisha.
During an election rally held in Cuttack’s Salepur, Gandhi contended that despite the apparent electoral rivalry between the BJD and BJP, their collaboration behind the scenes was evident.
“Whether termed as a partnership or alliance, both the BJD and BJP are aligned,” he stated.
Gandhi took a swipe at Patnaik, suggesting that although he holds the position of chief minister, the BJD government in the state is effectively steered by his aide VK Pandian.
In an implicit reference to Prime Minister Modi, Gandhi remarked, “Uncle-ji and Naveen-babu have brought Odisha ‘PAANN’, signifying Pandian, Amit Shah, Narendra Modi, Naveen Patnaik. They have exploited the state’s resources.”
