Telangana CM’s Legal Counsel Attends Delhi Police Inquiry on Alleged Doctored Video Case
New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s legal representative appeared before the Delhi Police on Wednesday regarding a case involving a manipulated video allegedly featuring Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech.
The Delhi Police issued a notice under section 160/91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to Reddy after the video was purportedly shared via a particular online account.
Addressing the media, Reddy’s lawyer, Saumya Gupta, asserted that the account associated with the video did not belong to Reddy.
“The said account is not under the ownership of the Telangana CM,” Gupta stated following discussions with the Delhi Police’s investigating officer at the IFSO office in Dwarka.
As per information from a police source, individuals served notices under section 160/91 of the CrPC have the option to either personally appear before the investigating officer or delegate representation through legal counsel.
