Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asserted on Wednesday that the party’s century-old relationship with the people of Raebareli has embarked on a new phase, signaling the constituency’s readiness to embrace its leadership once again.
During her visit to bolster Rahul Gandhi’s campaign in the family bastion, Priyanka Gandhi emphasized the palpable enthusiasm among Congress workers and constituents in Raebareli, highlighting their unwavering support.
In a Hindi statement shared on social media, she stated, “The century-old ‘service-oriented’ alliance between Congress and the people of Raebareli has transitioned into a new chapter, with the constituency once again aligning with its leadership. Today, I will engage in street meetings across various areas of Bachhrawan, Raebareli, reconnecting with my constituents.”
As part of her electoral campaign, Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to participate in meetings across Thulwasa, Maharajganj, Halor, Bhawanigarh, Goodha, Tilenda, Inchauli, and Sudauli—all within the Bachhrawan assembly constituency of Raebareli.
In the 2019 elections, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi secured victory from this constituency. The BJP has nominated minister Dinesh Pratap Singh as its candidate for the upcoming elections.”
