This action stemmed from an incident where Latha was captured on camera within a polling booth, purportedly urging Muslim women wearing burkhas to reveal their faces. In response to mounting complaints, the Hyderabad collector stated, “A formal case has been lodged at the Malakpet Police Station against Smt. Madhavi Latha.”
