Hyderabad: The anticipation surrounding ‘War 2’ intensified with the inclusion of NTR Jr alongside Hrithik Roshan in the action drama, marking the completion of its initial shooting schedule in Mumbai. Following nearly a month-long shoot in Mumbai, NTR Jr has returned to Hyderabad.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, renowned for his works such as ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, and ‘Brahmastra’, the film reportedly stars Kiara Advani and is slated for release next year, awaiting an official announcement regarding the complete cast and release date.
A sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘War’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor, the original film directed by Siddarth Anand amassed over Rs 200 crores within seven days of its release, emerging as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year.
During the sidelines of the IIFA Awards 2023, Hrithik expressed his excitement about sharing the screen with the ‘RRR’ star, stating, “I am very excited” when asked about ‘War 2’ with Jr NTR.
Furthermore, Hrithik extended a unique birthday wish to Jr NTR on May 20, 2023, via Twitter, expressing anticipation for their forthcoming collaboration and playfully referring to their on-screen camaraderie as a “battlefield” encounter.
Meanwhile, NTR Jr gears up for the release of ‘Devara’, co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. At a recent event in Hyderabad, he assured fans that the wait for ‘Devara: Part 1’ would be rewarding and evoke a sense of pride among audiences.
NTR Jr’s collaboration with filmmaker Koratala Siva for ‘Devara’ marks their second major project together after the success of the 2016 film ‘Janatha Garage’, garnering acclaim from both viewers and critics alike. ‘Devara’ is set to be released in two parts, with the first installment slated for an October release later this year.
