Mumbai: Production for the highly-anticipated film “Ramayana” has commenced, promising to deliver a global cinematic spectacle. Helmed by director Nitesh Tiwari, the project boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara.

Every development surrounding “Ramayana” has garnered significant attention, with the latest revelation focusing on the film’s budget.

Budget Overview: As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the film boasts an unprecedented budget exceeding Rs. 835 crore, solidifying its status as the most expensive Indian film ever produced.

“Ramayana transcends mere cinematic boundaries; it encapsulates a profound emotional resonance. The production team is sparing no effort to ensure its global appeal. The allocated budget of Rs. 835 crore is designated solely for ‘Ramayana: Part One,’ with plans for further expansion as the franchise evolves. The primary objective is to immerse audiences in an unparalleled visual experience, anchored by Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram,” disclosed a source close to the production.

The extensive post-production phase spans 600 days, underscoring the meticulous investment required to realize the film’s visionary aspirations.

Release Date for Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi’s Project: “Ramayana: Part One” is slated for release in October 2027. The film aspires to captivate audiences with its transformative visual narrative, with Ranbir Kapoor embodying the iconic role of Lord Ram.
