ECI Implements Measures to Address Post-Poll Violence in Andhra Pradesh

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken decisive actions to address post-poll violence in Andhra Pradesh. Key measures include:

1. Transferring the Collector of Palnadu and initiating a departmental inquiry.
2. Suspending the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Palnadu and Ananthapuramu.
3. Transferring the SP in Tirupati.
4. Suspending 12 subordinate police officials in the affected districts.
5. Forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
6. Retaining 25 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies for 15 days after the vote counting to manage potential violence.

These steps aim to ensure law and order and address any incidents of violence in the state.
