Barabanki: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Speech at Rally Targets Congress and Samajwadi Party

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Barabanki on Friday, alleged that the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) would demolish the Ram temple if they come to power, and suggested they take lessons from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on appropriate bulldozer usage.

Modi accused the INDIA bloc of seeking to create instability, likening its members to a collapsing house of cards as the election progresses. He asserted that his government is poised to win a third consecutive term and emphasized his plans to make significant decisions benefiting the poor, youth, women, and farmers.

Highlighting the stark contrast between the BJP-NDA alliance and the INDIA bloc, Modi claimed the latter is disintegrating and focused on creating unrest. He urged voters to choose representatives who will work for development rather than those who will spend their time criticizing him.

Modi criticized SP and Congress for their stance on the Ram temple. He claimed that SP and Congress leaders have previously undermined the temple’s significance and are prepared to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of their political interests. He suggested that SP and Congress leaders should learn from Adityanath where and how to use bulldozers appropriately, referencing Adityanath’s controversial policy of demolishing properties of alleged criminals.

Modi referred to a recent comment by Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, who described the Ram temple as “useless,” sparking criticism from Adityanath. He accused SP and Congress of prioritizing their vote bank over national interest and blamed them for resorting to appeasement politics.

Modi further criticized opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, for forming opportunistic alliances. He mocked their ambitions for the prime ministerial position, ridiculing statements made by leaders like Bhupesh Baghel and Lalu Prasad Yadav.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining constitutional provisions regarding reservations, criticizing past attempts by Congress to grant reservations based on religion. He urged voters to support the BJP to safeguard their rights and ensure development.

In Barabanki, the primary contest is between Tanuj Punia of the Congress and BJP’s Rajrani Rawat. Barabanki will cast votes in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20.
