Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has been chosen as the host for the 11th World Water Forum (WWF), slated to take place in Riyadh in 2027. The announcement came during the closing ceremony of the forum’s 10th session in Indonesia on Saturday, May 26, attended by heads of states, ministers, officials from 160 countries, and international organizations.
Under the theme “Working for a Better Tomorrow,” this prestigious event underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sustainable development goals in water management and resource conservation.
The hosting of this forum reaffirms the Kingdom’s leadership in advancing the water sector, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their support in enhancing water and sanitation services, thereby bolstering Saudi Arabia’s global prominence in this critical field.
