Hyderabad: On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, BRS working president KT Rama Rao remarked on the successful establishment of Telangana as a leading state in India.
“Today marks a decade since the formation of Telangana—a testament to our successful struggle. We take pride in our state’s achievements and its prominent position among Indian states,” Rama Rao told ANI.
“We honor the memory of those who sacrificed during our statehood movement as we celebrate this milestone,” he added.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended his sincere greetings to the people on State Formation Day, emphasizing the sacrifices made by martyrs during the statehood struggle. He applauded the diverse contributions of poets, artists, students, teachers, and various other stakeholders who actively participated in the Telangana movement.
Reddy reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing Telangana in alignment with the aspirations of its citizens.
Accompanied by Deputy Bhatti Vikramarka, Chief Minister Reddy visited State Governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan, extending an invitation to the government’s 10th Telangana State Formation Day celebrations.
The government has mandated the unfurling of the national flag from village panchayats to the state level, underscoring the scale of the celebrations.
Previously, CM Reddy met with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi, inviting her to be the chief guest at the upcoming Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
Officials have announced plans for a grand carnival on Tank Bund in Hyderabad, featuring a laser show and cultural programs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will unveil the Telangana state song and address attendees at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad during the festivities.
