Media Baron and Eenadu Group Chief Ramoji Rao Passes Away
Ramoji Rao, the esteemed media baron and chief of the Eenadu Group, passed away in the early hours of June 8th due to health complications. His demise is being widely mourned.
Ramoji Rao shares a significant connection with the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. It was Ramoji Rao who suggested the name Amaravati for the capital, a recommendation that was accepted unanimously. In 2014, Chandrababu Naidu revealed that Ramoji Rao had conducted extensive research before proposing the name.
Ramoji Rao’s association with Amaravati extended beyond its naming. He faced numerous challenges during the tenure of the YSR Congress Party (YCP) under Jagan Mohan Reddy, which implemented measures that adversely affected the region. Despite these obstacles, Ramoji Rao tirelessly advocated for Amaravati’s development over the past five years.
Ramoji Rao’s efforts culminated in the resurgence of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government, ensuring a more secure future for Amaravati. Coincidentally, his passing occurred shortly after this significant achievement.
