Andhra Pradesh’s prominent politician and Janasena president, Pawan Kalyan, visited the late media baron Ramoji Rao’s mortal remains at Ramoji Film City in the evening, accompanied by his associates Trivikram and producer Radhakrishna (Chinababu). Speaking to the media afterward, Pawan expressed his lasting regret over not being able to meet Ramoji Rao again.
“Previous administrations had troubled him greatly over the past 15 years, yet he remained steadfast in his commitment to honesty. I had planned to meet him after taking office and discuss how those past governments had harassed him. It’s saddening that he’s no longer with us,” Pawan Kalyan conveyed, extending his deepest condolences to Ramoji’s family and the Eenadu group.
Various members of the Telugu film industry and several senior politicians also paid their respects at Ramoji Film City today.
The Central Government has dispatched Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as an envoy to represent the Government of India in honoring Ramoji Rao.
As a mark of respect, the Telugu film industry has declared a one-day holiday for shootings, while the distribution and exhibition sectors have canceled the morning show on June 9th.
