New York: The Indian Consulate in New York hosted a reception on Tuesday (local time) to honor Team India, marking their inaugural participation in cricket on American soil as part of the first-ever US-hosted World Cup.
During the event, Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, alongside team members, engaged with leaders of the Indian diaspora.
The Consulate General of India in New York shared via X, stating, “@IndiainNewYork hosted a reception to welcome Team India. Acting Ambassador Cd’A a.i. Amb @ranganathan_sr and Consul General @binaysrikant76 extended a warm welcome. Captain @ImRo45, Head Coach Mr. Rahul Dravid, and team members interacted with leaders of the Indian diaspora across diverse sectors.
