In recent times, there has been speculation regarding whether prominent Telugu actors and producers will relocate their operations from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam, contributing to the establishment of Tollywood in the newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh.
With Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan’s recent electoral victory and his appointment as Deputy Chief Minister, there is now a significant expectation for him to facilitate the development of a segment of the Telugu film industry within Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, Pawan Kalyan has requested a two-month period from his producers to organize the remaining shoots of his upcoming films, including #OG, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The actor aims to complete these shoots on specially constructed sets in and around Amaravati and Vijayawada, allowing him to remain accessible for secretariat duties, assembly sessions, and other crucial cabinet meetings.
Previously, Pawan Kalyan had considered this move, but security concerns under the former administration in Andhra Pradesh deterred him from taking such a step. Now, with his political influence, he is well-positioned to significantly advance the integration of Tollywood into Andhra Pradesh. The industry and the public await the developments with keen interest.
