Kalki 2898 AD Poised to Set New Benchmarks in Indian Cinema
With less than 24 hours until the highly anticipated release of Kalki 2898 AD, the film is already breaking records and setting new benchmarks in the Indian film industry.
Kalki 2898 AD has emerged as the fastest Indian film to reach $3 million in pre-sales in North America. It is also the first Indian movie to sell over 100,000 tickets for premieres in the region. Notably, in the Cinemark chain alone, premiere sales hit an all-time high of $1.3 million. These impressive statistics suggest that Kalki will be one of the biggest hits in the USA.
Trade analysts predict that based on advance sales, the movie may gross over Rs. 35 crore in the Nizam region, surpassing previous records set by RRR (Rs. 33 crore) and Salaar (Rs. 32 crore). If the film garners positive reviews, it could potentially break all existing records in Indian cinema.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD features Prabhas in the lead role, with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Shobana, and Pasupathy in other significant roles.
