Hyderabad: BRS Demands Telangana Government to Fulfill Job Promises
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Thursday called on the Congress government in Telangana to fulfill its pre-election promise of providing two lakh jobs and to announce a job calendar.
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao criticized the Congress for making numerous promises to the unemployed, which he claimed have not been implemented. This criticism follows a meeting with unemployed youth and job aspirants who expressed their dissatisfaction with the Congress government’s unfulfilled promises.
“They extensively advertised job calendars before the elections, announcing dates and notifications for approximately 10 exams, but none have been issued,” stated KTR, as the BRS leader is popularly known.
KTR warned that if the government fails to deliver on its promises, BRS leaders would protest on behalf of the unemployed. He suggested that the same unemployed individuals who helped the government come to power could also contribute to its downfall if promises remain unfulfilled.
He demanded the immediate release of pending job notifications.
KTR pointed out that during the elections, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy promised an increase of 2,000 jobs in Group 2 and several thousand more in Group 3. However, this promise to the youth and students of Telangana has not been met, with only 60 jobs added to the previous government’s Group-1 notification. He accused the government of using technical excuses to avoid fulfilling job increase demands.
KTR reminded the government of its promise during the first cabinet meeting to hold a mega DSC to recruit teachers, accusing it of deceiving the unemployed. He emphasized that the BRS will hold the government accountable in the upcoming Assembly session.
Assuring job aspirants of the BRS’s support, KTR demanded the selection of candidates for Group-1 mains in a 1:100 ratio, as previously advocated by current Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka while in opposition.
Upcoming exams, including TET, Group 1 prelims, DSC, Group 2, Group 1 mains, and Group 3, are scheduled on consecutive dates, leaving insufficient preparation time for aspirants. KTR stressed the necessity of adequate time between exams as many students are preparing for multiple exams simultaneously.
