New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a challenge in the Delhi High Court against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with an alleged excise policy scam.
The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also contested a trial court’s June 26 order, which remanded him to a three-day custody of the CBI.
On June 29, the trial court further placed Kejriwal in judicial custody until July 12.
Kejriwal was initially arrested by the CBI on June 26 from Tihar Jail, where he was already in judicial custody due to a related money-laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
