Siddharth Backs Telangana CM Revanth Reddy in Anti-Drug Campaign
In a significant development, actor Siddharth has publicly expressed his support for Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vigorous campaign against drug abuse in the state. This statement marks a notable shift from Siddharth’s earlier stance on the issue of actors’ social responsibilities.
Previously, Siddharth had remarked that actors inherently possess social responsibility and should not be mandated by the Chief Minister to create awareness videos. However, in a recent video message, he clarified his position, emphasizing his unwavering support for the Chief Minister’s initiatives. Siddharth stated, “I completely support Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu and his government’s initiatives in the fight against drugs. If my words have hurt anyone, I’m really sorry about that.”
This change of heart underscores Siddharth’s endorsement of the Telangana government’s “zero-tolerance” policy towards drugs. The state’s anti-drug strategy, branded as “Operation Kavach,” has resulted in numerous successful operations, leading to the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics such as heroin, ganja, and MDMA.
Siddharth’s revised stance reflects a broader commitment to public welfare and aligns with the objectives of Operation Kavach. His apology and support for the Chief Minister’s efforts demonstrate a unified front in combating the drug menace, highlighting the importance of collective responsibility and action in addressing societal issues.
