Arvind Kejriwal Launches ‘Jan Sampark’ Campaign Ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections
New Delhi: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal launched his party’s ‘Jan Sampark’ campaign on October 16, aimed at engaging with Delhi residents ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
The campaign will see AAP workers going door-to-door, distributing a letter from Kejriwal that addresses the circumstances surrounding his arrest and that of other party leaders in corruption cases.
“I have prepared a letter, and our workers will reach out to people until October 29,” Kejriwal stated during the launch. He asserted his innocence, claiming, “I am not corrupt; I was sent to jail by the BJP to hinder the AAP government’s work for the people of Delhi.”
In the letter, Kejriwal elaborated on his experiences, saying, “They arrested me and kept me in jail for five months. They did it to stop the facilities I am providing to you and other essential work.”
This campaign marks a significant effort by AAP to rally support and clarify its position in the face of ongoing challenges, as it seeks to reinforce its connection with the electorate ahead of the elections.
