New Delhi: On Wednesday, AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh held a meeting with party colleague Swati Maliwal, following the party’s acknowledgment of an incident involving Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant Bibhav Kumar, described as “misbehavior” towards Maliwal.
Accompanied by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) member Vandana Singh, Sanjay Singh convened the meeting with Maliwal at her residence, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Efforts to reach Maliwal, also an AAP Rajya Sabha member and former chief of the DCW, for comment through calls and messages proved unsuccessful.
Maliwal had visited the Civil Lines police station on Monday, alleging assault by a member of the Delhi chief minister’s personal staff at the official residence of the chief minister. However, she has yet to formally file a complaint regarding the incident.
In a press conference held on Tuesday, Sanjay Singh denounced the incident involving Maliwal as “highly condemnable.”
Additionally, police officials visited Maliwal’s residence on Minto Road on Tuesday as part of their inquiries into the matter.
