Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority Introduces Marriage Loan Initiative
Abu Dhabi The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority (SSA) has launched the Marriage Loan initiative as part of the Emirati Family Growth Programme and Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy, led by the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi.
This pioneering initiative aims to bolster the quality of life for families, youth, and parents, supporting newly married UAE Nationals employed in Abu Dhabi with an interest-free loan up to AED150,000. Eligibility criteria include holding an Abu Dhabi family book and meeting employment requirements.
“The Marriage Loan initiative underscores the Abu Dhabi Government’s commitment to enhancing family stability and societal cohesion,” stated Abdulla Al Ameri, Director-General of SSA. He emphasized the initiative’s role in fostering sustainable family futures and promoting cultural traditions.
Ahmed Al Azeezi, Executive Director of the Social Support Applications Sector at SSA, affirmed the initiative’s alignment with Abu Dhabi’s social care goals, ensuring high standards of governance and transparency in service provision.
Applications for the Marriage Loan initiative will open in early September 2024, accessible through channels announced by SSA. Prospective applicants must meet age and income criteria, with registration conducted via the Medeem Digital Platform.
