The second day of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Mahanadu in Kadapa was marked by a powerful blend of emotion, innovation, and party pride as leaders and delegates commemorated the 102nd birth anniversary of TDP founder and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh led the tributes, garlanding NTR’s statue in the Assembly premises. The tribute event turned historic as Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology was used to recreate NTR’s voice and presence, delivering a virtual address that captivated attendees.
The AI-generated speech of NTR opened with a heartfelt message:
“On this grand yellow celebration of Mahanadu, my heartfelt salutations to the 10 crore Telugu people—our brothers, sisters, farmers, workers, children taking Telugu pride global, artists, intellectuals, and, above all, the TDP workers who wear my yellow flag close to their hearts.”
With striking realism and emotional resonance, AI-NTR reflected on the formation of the TDP 43 years ago, recalling its foundation as a movement to uphold the self-respect of Telugu people. The speech highlighted the progress made through various welfare and development initiatives launched since the party’s inception, as well as those currently being implemented under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
In a poignant moment that resonated deeply with the audience, AI-NTR acknowledged the efforts of his grandson, Nara Lokesh:
“It fills my heart with pride to see my grandson Lokesh standing by party workers and serving the public with compassion. Well done, grandson… well done.”
The AI tribute was met with resounding applause, stirring emotion among party workers and delegates alike. Many described the experience as a surreal and moving reminder of NTR’s enduring influence on Andhra Pradesh’s political and cultural identity. As the Mahanadu continues, the blend of tradition with cutting-edge technology has amplified TDP’s message of legacy, leadership, and innovation.
