“Awaken India Movement Raises Concerns Regarding Covishield Vaccine Safety
The Awaken India Movement (AIM) has expressed profound apprehensions regarding the safety of the Covishield vaccine, citing recent developments where the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company acknowledged Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) as a potential side effect in UK courts.
Saraswati Kavula, representing AIM, accompanied by supporting professors and medical professionals, convened a press conference on Monday to underscore the imperative for a comprehensive investigation into the potential side effects of Covishield and other Covid vaccines authorized under Emergency Use Authorization, bypassing full clinical trials.
Despite repeated appeals, the government has yet to initiate an inquiry into reported fatalities and adverse reactions linked to vaccination. According to AIM’s findings, there have been 10,273 reported deaths, including 186 pediatric fatalities, attributed to Covid vaccines by 2023.
AIM advocates for several measures, including providing compensation to vaccine recipients, establishing expedited judicial processes, implementing robust surveillance and monitoring systems, scrutinizing the scientific rationale behind Covid vaccines, and conducting audits on their commercialization practices.
Saraswati Kavula emphasized the necessity of holding accountable those responsible for allegedly misleading the Indian populace into receiving Covid vaccines, which AIM asserts has resulted in widespread fatalities and injuries.”
