Andhra Pradesh High Court Grants Relief to Allu Arjun, Quashes Case Filed by AP Police
Iconic Telugu actor Allu Arjun has received a significant legal victory with the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruling in his favor today. The court quashed the petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh Police, which had registered a case against the actor in connection with a breach of the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct.
The case was initially filed by the Nandyal City Police after Allu Arjun participated in a public event earlier this year to support former Nandyal MLA, Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy, during the election campaign. During the visit, a large rally involving motorcycles and cars took place in Nandyal, and a crowd gathered at Silpa Ravi’s residence. However, the event was held without prior permission from the authorities, although the police had provided security for Allu Arjun’s visit.
Following the event, complaints were filed with the Election Commission, accusing the actor and the former MLA of violating the Model Code of Conduct. As a result, the Nandyal Two Town Police registered an FIR against both Allu Arjun and Silpa Ravi.
In response to the legal action, Allu Arjun and Silpa Ravi sought relief from the High Court, challenging the case. After reviewing the matter, the court initially postponed its decision on October 25, 2024, but today, on November 6, it ruled in favor of the actor and the politician, quashing the case filed against them.
The court’s decision has come as a huge relief to Allu Arjun, who is one of the biggest stars in the Telugu film industry, and to Silpa Ravi, who has been actively involved in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
This legal victory allows Allu Arjun to continue focusing on his professional commitments without the distraction of legal proceedings, while also affirming that the High Court found no substantial grounds for the case against them.
