Allu Arjun Released from Chanchalguda Jail After Arrest in Stampede Case
Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, who was arrested in connection with a tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre, has been released from Chanchalguda Jail after being granted interim bail. The actor had been taken into custody yesterday afternoon and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the Nampally Court. Following his remand, he was sent to Chanchalguda Jail, but later the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks, subject to a ₹50,000 surety bond.
Due to a delay in the jail authorities receiving the court’s order, Allu Arjun was required to stay in custody overnight. Once the necessary documents were in place, his legal team swiftly submitted the pre-prepared surety bonds. After completing the required formalities, the actor was released from jail.
The case revolves around a tragic incident during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad, where a stampede led to the death of a woman named Revathi and left her son critically injured. The boy is still undergoing treatment in the hospital.
In connection with the incident, police filed multiple charges against Allu Arjun, and he was arrested at his residence yesterday. Despite the charges, the actor has denied any involvement in the incident, with many of his supporters questioning the decision to arrest him. The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the stampede.
