Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a fiery message to India’s adversaries on Monday, asserting that Operation Sindoor has sent a resolute signal not only to Pakistan but to the entire world: India’s sovereignty, its people, and its borders are not to be challenged.
Speaking at the Shankhnad rally, Shah emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s response to terrorism will be swift and unforgiving. He declared, “A bullet aimed at our innocents will be met with a cannon.”
He explained that the name Operation Sindoor was symbolic—reflecting the sacredness of the vermilion (sindoor) worn by India’s mothers, sisters, and daughters. “Their sindoor is not cheap. Anyone daring to harm it will have to pay with their blood,” Shah thundered.
Recalling Recent Provocations
He recalled the cowardly terror attack on April 22, where Pakistan-backed militants brutally targeted and killed innocent passengers after identifying them by religion. Referring to Modi’s previous warnings, Shah said, “You may run or hide, but we will find you and turn you to dust.”
Shah listed the government’s strong military responses under Modi’s tenure:
- Surgical Strike after Uri attack
- Air Strike post Pulwama
- Operation Sindoor after Pehalgam attack
He revealed chilling details of India’s swift retaliation, stating that at 1:04 AM on May 7, Indian armed forces obliterated nine terrorist hubs in just 22 minutes, including the destruction of enemy headquarters.
India’s Air Defence Stands Tall
When Pakistan attempted to retaliate with missiles and drone strikes on May 8, Shah said India’s advanced air defence system neutralized every single threat mid-air, ensuring not a single enemy projectile touched Indian soil.
Operation Black Forest: War on Naxals
Shah also spoke about Operation Black Forest, an ongoing mission against Maoist insurgents in Chhattisgarh. He praised the efforts of CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, and BSF, noting that numerous Maoists had been killed or surrendered, with the rest on the run.
“By March 31, 2026, we will ensure India is completely Maoist-free,” he declared with confidence.
Vision for a Secure and Developed India
Amit Shah concluded with a call to action: “Our goal is a Viksit Bharat by 2047—a developed nation that’s not only prosperous but powerful enough that no enemy dares challenge its peace and pride.”
