Amit Shah Slams Jharkhand Govt, Vows to End Corruption and Infiltration if BJP Comes to Power

Jharia: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the JMM-led coalition government in Jharkhand, accusing it of widespread corruption and involvement in coal smuggling. Addressing a rally in Jharia, a key part of the state’s coal belt, Shah urged voters to strengthen the BJP to eradicate corruption and ensure that those who have looted public resources are held accountable.

Shah claimed that under the BJP’s leadership, coal smuggling would be completely halted, ensuring that traders no longer have to fear the rampant illegal activities that have plagued the state. He further declared that “corrupt” leaders who have “looted public money” will face justice once the BJP assumes power.

“We will hang the corrupt leader upside down to straighten them,” Shah declared, emphasizing his commitment to eliminating corruption from the state. He also alleged that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was turning a blind eye to illegal activities and even welcoming infiltrators by “rolling out the red carpet” for them.

Shah alleged that these infiltrators were marrying tribal women and illegally seizing their land. He promised that if the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand, they would identify and drive out every infiltrator from the state, ensuring the protection of local rights and resources.

The Home Minister also emphasized that the upcoming election would be pivotal in shaping the future of Jharkhand. “Your one vote will decide Jharkhand’s destiny. It will decide whether women will become ‘lakhpati’ under PM Modi’s leadership or whether corrupt leaders will continue to fill their own coffers,” Shah said.

In a significant policy promise, Shah assured that women’s property registration would be made available for just ₹1 if the BJP comes to power in the state. He also made a pointed remark about the Congress, alleging that it was attempting to “snatch reservation rights” from OBCs, STs, and SCs in favor of Muslims. Shah vowed that the BJP would not allow this shift in reservation policies and would stand firm to protect the rights of marginalized communities.

Shah also took a jibe at Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, urging voters to press the BJP symbol – the lotus – so hard that “the current is felt in Italy”, a clear reference to the influence of the Congress leadership in national politics.

With the election looming, Shah’s remarks reflect the BJP’s aggressive campaign in Jharkhand, positioning itself as a party of accountability and national security, while targeting the current government for alleged mismanagement and corruption.
