New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed that Amul, a prominent Indian dairy corporation, will act as the official sponsor for the USA cricket team during the forthcoming T20 World Cup slated for June. This announcement was made public on Thursday.
The USA team will mark its inaugural appearance as co-hosts of the tournament, which commences on June 1. Notably, a segment of the tournament, comprising the semi-finals and finals, is scheduled to be held in the Caribbean.
Amul was designated as the Lead Arm sponsor for the USA national cricket team during a ceremonial event held in New York.
The opening match of the World Cup will witness a clash between the USA and Canada on June 1.
Renowned for its extensive international presence, the Indian dairy conglomerate has previously sponsored cricket teams, including the Netherlands. Additionally, Amul products, including its flagship milk, are now available in the United States.
In a recent bilateral series, the USA triumphed over Canada with a 4-0 victory.
