YSR Congress Leader Shyamala Cooperates with Police in Online Betting Case
Anchor and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Shyamala appeared before the Panjagutta Police Station in Hyderabad for questioning in connection with a case related to the promotion of online betting. The questioning lasted for over two and a half hours, after which Shyamala addressed the media to provide clarity on the matter.
In her statement, Shyamala expressed regret over her involvement in promoting online betting activities and assured the public that she would no longer engage in such practices. “As a responsible citizen, I will stay away from such activities,” she declared, emphasizing her concern about the harmful consequences of online betting. Shyamala noted that the impact of such activities is far-reaching, stating that no one can compensate for the lives lost due to the destructive nature of betting.
Acknowledging that promoting betting apps and participating in betting activities is wrong, Shyamala reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the law. She expressed her respect for the legal process and pledged to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation. However, given that the case is currently under the jurisdiction of the court, she refrained from commenting further on the specifics of the case.
Shyamala’s statement comes as a response to growing concerns over the rise of online betting in the country, and her public declaration of stepping away from such activities is seen as a step toward ensuring accountability. As the investigation continues, her cooperation with law enforcement is being closely followed by both the media and the public.
