Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai has issued a strong response to the recent stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Telangana, calling the incident unfortunate and emphasizing the need for equal treatment under the law. Speaking to national media, Annamalai condemned the remarks made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding actor Allu Arjun, asserting that they lacked neutrality.
Annamalai accused Revanth Reddy of attempting to compete with Allu Arjun to prove who the “true superstar” of Telangana was. He also mocked the Telangana CM, referring to him as the “lead actor” in local politics for his dramatic actions within the Congress Party. The BJP leader expressed concern over the political overtones surrounding the Sandhya Theatre incident, calling for an end to attempts at victimizing or harassing individuals unjustly.
On a separate note, Annamalai praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in Christmas celebrations, commending his efforts to promote peace and harmony in India. He criticized the opposition for politicizing every issue, pointing out that Modi had also joined in the celebrations the previous year. Annamalai described Modi as a leader who represented all 1.4 billion Indians, applauding his commitment to national unity.
