Key Proposals to be Discussed at Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Meeting
A critical Andhra Pradesh Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is scheduled for today at 11:00 AM. The meeting will focus on the approval and discussion of key initiatives aimed at boosting the state’s economic and infrastructural development. Several high-profile projects and investments are expected to be part of the agenda, highlighting the government’s push for growth and modernization.
The major proposals to be discussed include:
1. TCS Facility at Vizag Millennium Towers A proposal for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to establish a 208,280 sq. ft. facility with an investment of ₹80 crore will be deliberated.
2. Clean Energy Investments Approval is anticipated for a series of clean energy initiatives, with ₹83,000 crore in investments planned across five new projects aimed at advancing the state’s clean energy capabilities.
3. AM Green Ammonia Plant in Kakinada A proposal will be considered for allocating 592 acres for AM Green Ammonia India Pvt. Ltd.’s ₹12,000 crore investment in Kakinada.
4. Tata Power Solar Project in Kurnool The cabinet plans to approve a significant 400 MW solar power project by Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. This venture, spread over 1,800 acres in Kurnool, will involve an investment of ₹2,000 crore.
5. Hybrid Clean Energy Projects in Kadapa Clean Energy Hybrid Three Pvt. Ltd. is expected to receive approval for a ₹2,000 crore investment on 1,080 acres across various locations in Nandyal district.
6. Reliance Industries Biogas Plants Reliance Industries has proposed the establishment of 500 compressed biogas plants with a total capacity of 11,000 metric tons. The initiative will involve investments of ₹65,000 crore.
7. John Cockerill Electrolyzer Manufacturing Unit The cabinet is likely to approve a ₹2,000 crore investment for a 2 GW electrolyzer manufacturing unit in Kakinada, spanning across 40 acres.
8. Azad Mobility Electric Vehicle Plant Azad Mobility India plans to set up a facility for manufacturing electric three-wheelers, trucks, buses, and battery packs in Gudipalli, Sri Sathya Sai District, with ₹1,046 crore in investments.
9. Balaji Action Buildwell in Anakapalli The cabinet will review a proposal for ₹1,174 crore investments in the Balaji Action Buildwell project, covering 106 acres in Rambilli.
10. BPCL Refinery in Nellore A major ₹96,862 crore investment proposal for establishing a BPCL refinery across 6,000 acres in Ramayapatnam will be considered.
After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Naidu is scheduled to hold a special session with ministers to review the governance of the past six months. This session will focus on implementing reforms and strategies to ensure continued progress in 2025. The decisions made in today’s meeting are expected to shape the state’s growth trajectory and foster greater investor confidence.
