Pushpa 2: The Rule Set for December 5 Release as Ticket Price Hike Approved in Andhra Pradesh
The excitement surrounding Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, continues to grow as the film’s release date approaches. Scheduled for a grand theatrical release on December 5, 2024, the film is already creating waves in the industry with its promotional campaigns. A grand pre-release event was held on December 2 in Hyderabad, which was attended by renowned filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli as the chief guest. The event attracted a massive crowd of fans eagerly awaiting the film’s arrival.
In a major development ahead of the release, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved a hike in ticket prices for Pushpa 2, following similar decisions made in Telangana. The new ticket pricing structure will apply during the initial run of the film, with special benefit shows scheduled for December 4 at 9:30 PM and midnight (1:00 AM) having ticket prices set at ₹800 (plus GST), applicable for both multiplexes and single-screen theaters.
On the release day, December 5, six shows will be permitted across theaters, giving fans multiple chances to watch the movie on its opening day. For the period between December 5 and 17, ticket price adjustments include:
- Multiplexes: A maximum hike of ₹200 (inclusive of GST)
- Single Screens:
- Lower Class: Up to ₹100 (inclusive of GST)
- Upper Class: Up to ₹150 (inclusive of GST)
Additionally, theaters have been given the flexibility to screen up to five shows per day during this time frame.
Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude towards the Andhra Pradesh government for the support, taking to social media to thank Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The actor acknowledged that this decision demonstrates the government’s commitment to the growth and development of the Telugu film industry.
