AP Government Raises Age Limit for Mega DSC Applicants, Offers Relief to Aspirants
In a welcome move for thousands of aspiring teachers across Andhra Pradesh, the state government has officially increased the upper age limit for candidates applying under the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment.
According to the newly issued government orders, the maximum age limit has been raised from 42 years to 44 years. This age relaxation will apply exclusively to the current Mega DSC notification and will not extend to future DSC recruitment drives.
The government further clarified that the cut-off date for age eligibility will be July 1, 2024.
This decision comes as a significant relief for many unemployed and overage candidates who were previously unable to apply due to strict age restrictions. With this move, the state is aiming to provide a renewed opportunity to qualified candidates who missed out earlier.
Education department officials have welcomed the development, noting that it aligns with the government’s broader goal of making employment avenues more inclusive for deserving candidates.
The announcement is expected to increase participation in the upcoming Mega DSC, which is being closely followed by teaching aspirants across the state.
