Andhra Pradesh Launches Free Online DSC Coaching for Marginalized Communities
In a major boost for aspiring teachers from marginalized communities, Andhra Pradesh Minister for BC and EWS Welfare, S. Savitha, has officially launched a free online training programme for candidates preparing for the District Selection Committee (DSC) exams. The initiative is targeted at candidates from the BC, EWS, Kapu, SC, and ST communities across the state.
The programme was inaugurated at the Minister’s chamber in the State Secretariat, with Minister Savitha emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting accessible and inclusive education and employment opportunities.
Delivered through the ‘Aacharya’ mobile application, developed by the SHAM Institute under the supervision of the BC Study Circle, the training will be available 24/7, allowing aspirants to access quality coaching at their convenience.
“Many candidates, especially homemakers, rural residents, and those juggling small jobs, find it difficult to attend in-person classes. This online initiative ensures no one is left behind due to logistical barriers,” said Minister Savitha.
To further support the candidates, the government will provide a monthly stipend of ₹1,500 during the training period, and an additional ₹1,000 for study materials. The platform will host lectures by experienced faculty, offer subject-wise study content, and provide access to previous years’ DSC question papers.
The Minister encouraged eligible candidates to enroll and fully utilize the facility, adding that SHAM Institute was selected for its proven track record in education and coaching services.
The move is expected to significantly enhance the preparedness and success rate of underrepresented communities in securing government teaching positions in Andhra Pradesh.
