Andhra Pradesh Government Releases ₹6,200 Crore in Pending Dues for State Employees

In a significant move that has been welcomed by state government employees, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced the release of ₹6,200 crore in pending dues related to General Life Insurance (GLI) and General Provident Fund (GPF). The disbursement of these funds is being made directly into the bank accounts of the employees. According to reports, the entire process is expected to be completed by tomorrow or the day after.

The decision to release the pending dues follows the approval of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who gave the green signal for the disbursement two days ago. Following his approval, the Finance Department issued the necessary orders to facilitate the transfer of the funds.

Employees, along with leaders from the Non-Gazetted Officers’ (NGO) Association, have expressed their satisfaction and relief over the release of these long-awaited funds. This move is seen as a significant step towards addressing the financial concerns of state government employees, many of whom had been awaiting these dues for an extended period.

The disbursement of ₹6,200 crore is expected to ease the financial burden on employees and improve their overall financial stability. It also reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of its workforce and fulfilling its financial obligations in a timely manner.
