In a significant move to strengthen the education sector, the Andhra Pradesh government is gearing up to recruit 16,347 teachers through the much-anticipated Mega DSC 2025 recruitment drive. The application window officially closed on Thursday, with online examinations scheduled to commence from June 6.
However, even as the process moves forward, a large section of aspirants has been urging the state to allow 90 days of preparation time before the exam. This demand has gained momentum on social media and among student groups since the DSC notification was issued.
Amid these growing appeals, Nara Lokesh, the state’s Minister for Information Technology and Education, issued a firm statement, dismissing the possibility of postponing the exam schedule. He asserted that the government had already given ample preparation time.
“Some candidates are asking for more time, but let’s not forget — we announced the syllabus back in December. That’s over seven months of preparation time already provided,” said Lokesh, pointing out that the timeline was more than fair.
The Minister also accused the previous YSR Congress Party government of trying to stall the recruitment process by taking the issue to the Supreme Court, allegedly attempting to delay employment opportunities for aspiring teachers.
