New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated on Tuesday that with each phase of the Lok Sabha polls completed, it is increasingly evident that the Narendra Modi government is losing ground, and the INDIA bloc is poised to assume power on June 4.
Speaking at a virtual press conference, Kejriwal emphasized that the INDIA bloc is committed to providing a stable government to the nation.
“As each phase of the elections concludes, it becomes clearer that the Modi government is losing its grip, and the INDIA bloc will take charge on June 4,” he asserted.
Kejriwal also criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their remarks during recent election rallies in Delhi.
Directing his remarks at Shah, Kejriwal said, “Your selection as the successor to the Prime Minister has led to arrogance. However, you are not yet the Prime Minister.”
Referring to Shah’s comments about him lacking support in India and having more supporters in Pakistan, Kejriwal stated, “You may criticize me, but refrain from disparaging the people of our country. Such remarks against the public are unacceptable.”
Kejriwal’s remarks were in response to Shah’s statement made during a rally in Delhi while campaigning for his party’s candidate in the South Delhi constituency, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
“Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi have no support in India; their supporters are in Pakistan,” Shah had asserted during his address.
