Allu Arjun’s ₹25 Lakh Promise: Controversy Surrounds Support for Stampede Victim’s Family
The stampede near Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 on December 4 tragically resulted in the death of Revathi, with her nine-year-old son Sritej remaining in critical condition. Actor Allu Arjun had publicly promised financial support of ₹25 lakh to the bereaved family, which garnered widespread attention.
However, Congress rebel leader Bakka Judson has raised questions, claiming that Revathi’s family has not received the full ₹25 lakh as promised. According to Judson, only ₹10 lakh has been provided so far. In response, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand confirmed that the Telangana government is covering Sritej’s medical expenses, ensuring his treatment.
The incident has sparked public debate about the delivery of the promised assistance and has drawn attention to the support systems in place for victims’ families.
