Nandamuri Balakrishna Honoured with Padma Bhushan for Contributions to Cinema and Society
Renowned actor and Hindupur Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Nandamuri Balakrishna has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award by President Droupadi Murmu in a ceremony held in New Delhi. This recognition acknowledges his significant contributions to Indian cinema and public service.
Attending the ceremony in traditional attire, Balakrishna expressed his gratitude, stating that the award arrived at a meaningful juncture in his life, coinciding with milestones such as the completion of 50 years in the film industry and the 15th anniversary of the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital, founded in memory of his mother.
