Bandi Sanjay Sets Deadline for Telangana CM on Rythu Bharosa Funds, Criticizes Government Inaction
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has set a firm deadline for Telangana Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy regarding the disbursement of “Rythu Bharosa” funds, aimed at supporting farmers and agricultural laborers in the state. The BJP leader questioned the whereabouts of these funds, which were promised to the farming community over a year ago, yet remain undelivered despite the government’s prolonged tenure.
Bandi Sanjay has given the Telangana government until Sankranti to release the funds, warning that if the funds are not disbursed by then, no Congress leader will be allowed to walk freely on the streets. His strong remarks were aimed at holding the government accountable for its inaction on promises made to farmers.
The Union Minister criticized the state government for its failure to deliver on key promises, including the much-anticipated Rythu Bharosa funds, and demanded an explanation from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the delay. He also accused the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of lacking political and organizational strength, claiming that the party’s leadership has been disengaged, with the CM allegedly confined to a farmhouse.
In a biting commentary, Bandi Sanjay mocked Revanth Reddy’s involvement in the Telangana movement, pointing out that while Revanth Reddy has no historical connection to the movement, he does face allegations in a “cash-for-vote” case. The BJP leader further questioned the veracity of the state government’s claims, citing discrepancies such as the government’s assertion that 55,000 jobs were created, when only 20,000 positions had been filled.
Sanjay also accused the government of misleading unemployed youth through new government orders (GOs), which he claimed were designed to deceive rather than deliver meaningful results. Additionally, he targeted Revanth Reddy for resorting to inappropriate language, alleging that the Congress leader had inherited such behavior, a criticism that he argued has even surpassed the controversial rhetoric of KCR (K. Chandrashekar Rao).
The BJP leader’s comments are likely to intensify the political confrontation between the opposition and the ruling BRS government, as both sides prepare for the upcoming electoral challenges in the state.
