Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has issued a strong appeal to the Telangana government, urging it to clear the mounting ₹8,000 crore fee reimbursement dues owed to private colleges across the state.
In a formal letter addressed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Bandi Sanjay criticized the state administration for its prolonged inaction, blaming the delay for the growing financial distress in the education sector.
“The government’s negligence has pushed private colleges into a crisis,” Sanjay wrote. “Several degree and engineering institutions have already shut down, while others are withholding student certificates due to unpaid fees. This is directly affecting thousands of students who depend on these reimbursements for their education.”
He demanded that the state immediately release the pending dues, emphasizing that any further delay would deepen the crisis and jeopardize students’ futures.
Bandi Sanjay’s letter adds to the growing pressure on the Telangana government to address the financial strain on educational institutions—many of which rely heavily on the timely disbursal of fee reimbursement funds.
