Alia Fakhri Arrested in Connection with Double Homicide in New York
Alia Fakhri, the sister of Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, has been arrested by the New York Police in connection with a tragic double homicide. Alia is accused of setting fire to a building, resulting in the deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacob, and his new girlfriend, Anastasia Etienne.
According to reports, Alia and Edward Jacob were in a relationship for some time but broke up a year ago due to personal disputes. After their breakup, Edward began dating Anastasia Etienne, a situation that allegedly led to Alia issuing multiple threats to her ex-boyfriend. When these threats went unheeded, Alia reportedly visited their residence on November 2 and set the building on fire. Despite efforts from neighbors to alert the victims, both Edward and Anastasia tragically became trapped in the flames and lost their lives.
Eyewitness testimonies led to the arrest of Alia Fakhri by the New York Police. She has been remanded into custody as investigations continue. At present, Nargis Fakhri, the well-known actress, has not publicly commented on her sister’s arrest.
