A few months ago, it was reported that Venu, known for his work on the film ‘Balagam,’ had pitched a script titled ‘Yellamma’ to actor Nani, leading to speculation about a potential collaboration.
During the promotional activities for ‘Hi Nanna,’ Nani clarified that he had not discussed any such project with Venu. Despite this, rumors persisted about their potential collaboration. Recent reports now confirm that Nani will not be involved in the film.
Insider sources reveal that while Nani appreciated ‘Balagam,’ he never considered working on a project with Venu. Following the success of ‘Dasara’ and ‘Hi Nanna,’ Nani aims to create films that resonate with family audiences but also feature grand, larger-than-life narratives, contrasting with Venu’s conceptually culture-centric stories.
Despite the rumors, Venu is actively pitching his stories to other actors, with Dil Raju set to produce his next project.
Currently, Nani is working on ‘Saripodha Sanivaram’ with director Vivek Athreya and has another film lined up with ‘Dasara’ director Srikanth Odela. Additionally, a project with director Sujith is anticipated, pending confirmation from the producer after DVV Danayya’s withdrawal.
