Minister Nara Lokesh Responds Promptly to Cancer Patient’s Family, Sanctions ₹3 Lakh for Treatment
Minister Nara Lokesh swiftly addressed a call for help from the family of Garlapati Brahmayya, a cancer patient from Dharmakot in Guntur district. The family had reached out via Twitter, requesting financial assistance for his treatment, which had an estimated cost of ₹5 lakh.
In response, Lokesh immediately sanctioned a Letter of Credit (LOC) worth ₹3 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). He assured the family of full support, confirming that his team had contacted them to gather the necessary details. After verifying the situation, the Minister directed that the entire treatment cost be borne by the government.
Brahmayya, who had been suffering from health issues for some time, was diagnosed with cancer, leaving his family in financial distress. Lokesh’s prompt action and the support extended through the CMRF have been met with deep gratitude from Brahmayya’s family, who expressed their sincere appreciation for the Minister’s swift and compassionate response.
