Case Registered Against Daggubati Family Over Deccan Kitchen Hotel Dispute

In a significant legal development, a case has been registered against the family of actor Daggubati Venkatesh in connection with a property dispute involving the Deccan Kitchen Hotel. The First Information Report (FIR) names Venkatesh as the second accused (A2) in the case, which centers around allegations of illegal demolition and violation of court orders.

The dispute stems from a claim by Nandakumar, the alleged owner of the hotel premises, against the Daggubati family. Reports indicate that in 2022, the Daggubati family, along with staff from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and bouncers, partially demolished the hotel. This action led to legal proceedings, with Nandakumar seeking judicial intervention.

In response to the demolition, Nandakumar approached the High Court, which intervened and issued an order prohibiting any further action on the property. The court also instructed both parties to maintain the status quo. However, despite the court’s directive, it is alleged that the Daggubati family proceeded to completely demolish the hotel in January 2023.

This alleged violation of the court’s orders prompted Nandakumar to file a petition with the Nampally Court. Upon reviewing the petition, the court directed the Film Nagar Police to register a case against the Daggubati family and conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. The court also ordered the police to take necessary action against the apparent disregard for the High Court’s instructions.

As per the Nampally Court’s directions, the Film Nagar Police registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including:

  • Section 448: Trespass
  • Section 452: House-trespass after preparation for assault
  • Section 458: Lurking house-trespass or house-breaking
  • Section 120B: Criminal conspiracy

The FIR lists Daggubati Suresh as the first accused (A1), Venkatesh as A2, Rana Daggubati as A3, and Abhiram Daggubati as A4. The police are now tasked with investigating the matter and ensuring that appropriate action is taken in accordance with the law.

This case has attracted considerable attention due to the involvement of prominent figures from the Daggubati family, known for their influence in the film industry. The outcome of the legal proceedings could have significant implications for both the parties involved and the broader public perception of the Daggubati family.

As the investigation progresses, the legal and public scrutiny surrounding this case is likely to intensify, with both sides awaiting the resolution of this property dispute in the courts.
