The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 12 examination results for the academic year 2024–25, bringing relief and excitement to lakhs of students and parents across the country. The results were released on Tuesday morning and are now accessible on the official websites — cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Students can view their scores by entering their roll number, date of birth, school number, and admit card number. Results are also available through the DigiLocker and UMANG mobile apps.

Girls Outshine Boys Once Again
This year’s overall pass percentage stands at 83.39%, with girls outperforming boys by a notable margin. While 91.64% of girls cleared the exam, 85.70% of boys passed. The third gender category saw a pass rate of 50.44%.

Vijayawada Emerges as the Top Performer
Among all the regions, Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.60%, followed by Thiruvananthapuram at 99.32% and Bengaluru at 95.95%. On the other end of the spectrum, Prayagraj registered the lowest pass percentage at 79.53%.

Massive Participation Across India and Abroad
A total of over 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examinations conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2025, at 7,842 centers across India and 26 international locations. This includes 24.12 lakh Class 10 students and 17.88 lakh Class 12 students.

Class 10 Results Awaited
While the Class 12 results have been declared, there is no official confirmation yet regarding the Class 10 results. However, sources suggest that they may also be released later today.

Notably, the CBSE has continued its policy of not releasing a merit list to discourage unhealthy competition and academic pressure among students.
