Marking a symbolic end to what it described as a “demonic regime,” Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh likened the political shift in the state to the festival of Diwali—celebrating the victory of good over evil. On Wednesday, Jana Sena leaders and supporters across Andhra Pradesh commemorated the first anniversary of the state’s democratic resurgence under the coalition government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

The occasion was marked by spirited celebrations at the Jana Sena Party’s central office in Mangalagiri. Women leaders created vibrant rangoli designs, lamps were lit in the evening, and firecrackers illuminated the premises—reflecting a sense of optimism and renewal among party cadres and supporters.

Tourism Minister Durgesh praised the alliance government for its dedication to good governance, pointing out that, “Under the previous YSRCP regime, the state treasury was left empty. But the current coalition has taken up the challenge head-on and is systematically fulfilling each promise made during the 2024 general elections.” Reaffirming their commitment to clean and inclusive governance, Jana Sena leaders emphasized that the administration would be impartial in serving the people but firm against those who were responsible for past misdeeds.

“This is a government of accountability and integrity,” Durgesh stated. “There will be no favoritism, but we will not spare those who looted public resources or misused their power.”

The gathering also included APMSIDC Chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao and former Municipal Chairman Ganji Chiranjeevi, who joined in the celebrations and echoed the government’s vision of transparent and responsible leadership.

On the anniversary, Ministers Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh met with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at the State Secretariat to extend their wishes and reflect on the coalition’s achievements over the past year. Adding to the occasion, Jana Sena MLC and party leader Nagababu took a strong stance against the opposition YSRCP, stating:

“Their disruptive politics have no place in the current democratic framework. The people of Andhra Pradesh have clearly rejected them, and they do not even deserve the status of a responsible opposition.”Nagababu extended congratulations to party workers and leaders, commending their unwavering commitment and hard work that helped bring the alliance to power and drive political change in the state. The coalition government has promised to stay focused on development, accountability, and the rule of law as it enters the second year of its term.
