As tensions escalate between India and Pakistan, prominent figures from the Indian film industry have taken to social media to express their solidarity with the nation and its armed forces.
Acclaimed director S.S. Rajamouli addressed the public with a firm message about national responsibility and digital vigilance. In a social media post, he emphasized the importance of maintaining operational security during military activities.
“If you witness Indian military operations, do not record or share photos and videos. Posting such content online could unintentionally aid the enemy. Also, refrain from believing or spreading unofficial statements and misinformation,” Rajamouli warned.
He added, “With positivity and alertness, victory will be ours.”
Rajamouli also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the armed forces, lauding their bravery and commitment to protecting the nation.
Actor Vijay Deverakonda also took action in support of the troops, announcing that he will provide his Rowdy clothing brand merchandise to members of the armed forces. His gesture has been widely appreciated as a token of respect and gratitude.
Meanwhile, actress Rashmika Mandanna shared a powerful message that quickly gained traction online. Addressing the growing criticism against military retaliation, she wrote:
“The fight to protect us from terrorism is not a war. Those who support this fight should not be labeled as warmongers. They are citizens who yearn for national security and justice.
There’s a profound moral difference between unprovoked aggression and urgent self-defense. When innocent lives are lost to terrorism, seeking justice is not revenge—it’s responsibility. Wanting peace does not mean passively accepting harm. Do not question the nation that acts in defense. Instead, question those who enable cross-border terrorism.”
Rashmika, known for her active social media presence, had earlier reacted to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, expressing deep sorrow and urging strength for the victims’ families.
In response to the Pahalgam attack, India has launched ‘Operation Sindhoor’, a strategic military operation targeting terror camps across the border, signaling a firm stand against terrorism.
