Chandrababu Naidu Reviews Tirumala Development and Announces New Initiatives During Family Visit
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with his family, visited Tirumala to celebrate his grandson Nara Devansh’s birthday. As part of the celebrations, a food donation was made at the Annaprasadam Center in Devansh’s name, followed by a crucial review meeting at the Padmavathi Guest House. The meeting focused on the ongoing and future developments in Tirumala and was attended by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, EO Shyamal Rao, and other senior officials.
Chandrababu Naidu began his address by emphasizing the immense devotion of thousands of devotees who visit Tirumala daily. He highlighted the importance of the free meal services and shared that personally serving food to the devotees is an act of unparalleled satisfaction. Reiterating the sanctity of the Seven Hills, he called for everyone to work towards the welfare of society and stated, “The Seven Hills belong to Venkateswara Swamy,” asserting that no inappropriate or impure activities would be tolerated in the sacred area.
Touching on past issues, the Chief Minister recalled the wrongdoings that occurred over the past five years. He reminded the audience of his commitment during the election period to cleanse Tirumala and fulfill that promise once in power. He revealed that his government had taken action by canceling the allotment of 20 acres of land to the Mumtaz Hotel and also revoking land allocations totaling 35.32 acres to various organizations near the Seven Hills. Naidu made it clear that commercial activities near the sacred region would no longer be allowed and reiterated that personal interests had no place in Tirumala.
Further, Naidu emphasized that only Hindus should be employed in the Tirumala temple, citing his orders to remove non-Hindu employees from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). As part of his broader vision for the promotion of Hindu culture, he also announced plans to construct Venkateswara Swamy temples in the capitals of all Indian states and in areas with significant Hindu populations worldwide. A special temple trust would be established to support the construction of these temples.
In addition to the temple initiatives, Chandrababu Naidu introduced “Madhava Seva,” a new initiative inspired by programs such as Annadanam (food donation) and Pranadanam (life donation), aiming to expand societal welfare through dedicated service.
Naidu’s visit to Tirumala, combined with his announcements for the development and sanctification of the temple region, underscores his commitment to preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of the area.
