In a stirring address at the inaugural session of TDP’s Mahanadu 2024, Chief Minister and party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu declared that the event, held for the first time on the soil of Kadapa, would be remembered as a historic turning point for the party and the state.

“This Mahanadu will not just make history—it will shape the direction of Andhra Pradesh,” Naidu proclaimed. “We secured 7 out of 10 seats in the united Kadapa district. Next time, we must aim for a clean sweep.”

The Mahanadu, unfolding with unprecedented enthusiasm, marks the first major public event of the Telugu Desam Party after its landslide victory in the 2024 elections, where the party achieved a remarkable 93% strike rate. Naidu attributed the sweeping success to the relentless dedication of party workers—whom he referred to as “yellow soldiers.”

“This victory wasn’t just ours—it belongs to every worker who hoisted the party flag expecting nothing in return. Our alliance with Jana Sena and the BJP was powerful, but it was the groundwork of our cadre that brought us here.”

Tribute to Martyrs and Fighters
Naidu paid emotional tribute to party activists who lost their lives during political strife, particularly remembering Chandrayya, a TDP activist slain during the previous regime.

“Even while facing death, Chandrayya raised his voice with ‘Jai Telugu Desam’. His sacrifice embodies the spirit of our movement. The previous government turned governance into a battleground. But our people stood strong—faced false cases, intimidation, even violence—and never lowered the party flag. That courage is our foundation.”

TDP’s Role as a Pioneer in Politics
Naidu described the TDP as a torchbearer of values-based politics, emphasizing its legacy of reforms and ethical governance.

“While others indulged in negative politics, we redefined governance. TDP is the only party that introduced values to politics. Whether in power or in opposition, we stood for accountability, innovation, and public welfare. No matter who comes and goes, TDP’s imprint on Telugu politics is indelible.”

He proudly stated that leaders across the political spectrum in Telugu states are products of the “TDP school of politics,” affirming the party’s long-standing ideological and administrative influence.

TDP as a Symbol of Progress and Reform
Highlighting future goals, Chandrababu called for unity among coalition partners and outlined a bold developmental agenda: “TDP is a trendsetter in welfare, reforms, and development. We uplifted the marginalized—especially BCs—from being mere petitioners to holding power. We’ll continue that mission with integrity.”

Naidu promised a revamp of the state’s innovation ecosystem, announcing the launch of five Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs. He also introduced the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, offering ₹20,000 annually to farmers in three installments, including ₹6,000 from the Centre. He further pledged free RTC bus travel for women starting August 15, 2025.

“We are not just offering schemes—we are building a future rooted in dignity, equality, and opportunity. TDP is not just a party; it is a brand built on trust and transformation,” Naidu concluded to thunderous applause.
